Hi there, and welcome! I’m so glad you’re here. My name is Cynthia and I’m the artist behind Lux Elementum Jewelry. I’m also a musician, an avid reader, and a lifelong animal lover—especially when it comes to cats! I first got into jewelry making through beading, just playing around with color and pattern as a creative outlet. It was something I did for fun, never imagining it would lead to anything more. Then I took a beginning metalsmithing class—and something clicked. Working with metal, fire, and traditional tools lit a spark in me I hadn’t felt before. From that moment on, I knew I had found my medium.
With the support of my husband, a skilled engineer, we built a metals studio—a space where creativity and craftsmanship come together every day. I’ve continued to grow my skills through classes, mentorships, and online “open studio” sessions with talented jewelers from across the country. I’m also proud to be a member of jewelry and metals guilds, where I stay inspired and connected with a vibrant community of makers. After many years of creating just for the joy of it, I took the leap and turned my passion into a small business. Now, I sell my work here on my website, through Instagram, and at various art shows.
As I grow this business, I want to share more than just the finished pieces—I want to share the journey behind them. This blog will be a place where I offer a peek into my creative process, the stories behind my collections, and the experiences of life as a maker.
